Security Software Solutions

Proprietary platforms for security operations, CCTV stream protection, vetting workflows, and confidential client communications.

The challenge

Off-the-shelf operations software was not built for the security and protection industry. Workflows that matter — CCTV access control, vetting cycles, shift handovers, principal-specific protocols and after-action reporting — are typically forced into general-purpose tools, which means they get filled in inconsistently, exposed too widely or skipped under pressure.

Our approach

FRT builds and operates software tailored to the discipline. The same tooling we use internally to coordinate engagements is available to partner operators and corporate clients who want to bring the same rigour into their own operations. RTSPShield is part of this software line: a secure gateway for controlled access to CCTV and IP-camera streams.

Featured software

RTSPShield

A secure gateway for RTSP video streams, designed to protect access to IP cameras, CCTV systems and NVR-backed surveillance environments.

RTSPShield places a controlled software layer between users and video devices. Operators no longer need to expose camera URLs, share internal credentials or allow direct access to sensitive RTSP endpoints.

Access is granted through tokens, user permissions and optional time windows. Authorised sessions are proxied to the internal camera or NVR while upstream addresses and credentials remain hidden from the client side.

The platform is built for existing installations. It adds TLS, auditable sessions, TCP interleaved transport rewriting and self-hosted deployment options without forcing a full replacement of the video infrastructure.

Core capabilities

  • Token-based access to RTSP streams
  • User and camera-level permissions
  • Optional access windows by user or role
  • TLS-secured gateway connections
  • Proxying that keeps cameras and NVRs off the public edge
  • TCP interleaved transport rewriting for reliable RTSP delivery
  • Audit logs for access attempts and video sessions
  • YAML-based configuration and self-hosted deployment

Typical use cases

  • Companies that need to share camera access without exposing the surveillance network
  • CCTV installers and system integrators adding a security layer to existing deployments
  • Multi-site environments where different users need access to different cameras
  • Security teams that need traceable, time-bound access to video streams

What's included

What's included

  • RTSPShield gateway for protected RTSP access to IP cameras, NVRs and CCTV systems
  • Operations and shift management built for protection and close protection workflows
  • Structured vetting and re-vetting pipelines with full audit trail
  • Confidential client and principal communications with end-to-end encryption
  • After-action reporting templates and a searchable engagement history
  • Self-hosted deployment for clients with data residency requirements

Engagement

Software engagements begin with a fit assessment: we map the client's current workflows, identify where the platform replaces, augments or stays out of the way, and define the hosting model. For RTSPShield, this includes reviewing camera topology, stream exposure, user roles and audit requirements before configuring a controlled gateway around the existing video infrastructure.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is RTSPShield?
RTSPShield is a secure proxy gateway for RTSP video streams. It controls access to IP cameras, CCTV systems and NVRs with tokens, permissions, TLS and audit logs, while keeping the underlying devices hidden from users.
Is the software available standalone, or only as part of an FRT engagement?
Both. Many clients use the platform standalone — they have their own operations and just want better tooling. Existing FRT brokerage clients have access included.
Where is the data hosted?
By default in the EU. Self-hosted deployments are available for clients with strict data residency or sovereignty requirements, including on-premise within client infrastructure.
Does the software replace our existing tools?
It depends. For operations and vetting workflows specific to protection and security, yes — those are what it was built for. For general business tools (email, document management, accounting), no — we integrate rather than replace.
What about integration with our existing systems?
We support standard integration patterns (API, SAML SSO, webhook, scheduled export). For non-standard systems, we will scope the integration as part of the deployment.
Is there a free trial?
A guided walkthrough with sample data is available before commitment. Production trials are case-by-case — the platform handles sensitive operational data and we are deliberate about onboarding.
